六年级的同学们重点参观了各类纪念馆。在嘉定烈士陵园，六五班的姚敏学聆听了战士们所经历的种种战争，她写道：“战士们在这些战役中献出自己的生命，每一个名字都我们现如今和平安稳的基础……”有些战士留下了自己的名字，有些烈士甚至连名字都未能留下这深深触动了他的心，姚敏学看着这些无名墓碑热泪盈眶，最终郑重地为他们献上了鲜花。

而在金山卫抗战遗址，六四班的张皓迪收获了不同的体验。1937年，日军曾在金山登录，当地守军奋起反抗，最终只有28人存活。惨烈的斗争让张皓迪深思：“我们要珍惜当下，同时把这段历史讲给更多的人听。”

类似的故事也在七年级上演。

七三班的杨钰晨前往闵行烈士陵园，此处松柏挺立，氛围庄严，她参观了一个个陈列馆，看到了一幅幅历史照片，这些都让她仿佛看到了当时英烈们舍生忘死的画面。她写道：“从这次活动中，我深知幸福生活来之不易。”

而七五班的潘哲安参观了四行仓库。走近纪念馆，墙体密密麻麻的弹孔便映入眼帘。他仿佛也见证了这一场极为惨烈的战役，而谢晋元将军的绝笔信“为国杀敌，革命军人之素命也。”更是令人椎心泣血。艰难困苦，玉汝于成，当今的和平更需珍惜。

八年级的同学们也纷纷选择了前往抗战遗址和陵园。

八一班的Mia同学前往七号桥碉堡。在这里，抗日战争时期曾发生抗日武装歼灭敌伪军的战斗。而在解放战平期间，人民解汉军进军大上海途中又与国民党激战。目睹当时的遗址，她仿佛看到了那场血战的余温。在小报中，她这样写：“烈士们用生命筑起的不止是公事，更是和平。”

八二班的刘有常前往五卅烈士陵园祭奠英灵，了解当年的往事，同样深刻体会到先烈们为民族独立做出的巨大牺牲。刘有常献出了鲜花，并立志要投身于学习与实践，践行时代使命。

清明时节的微风轻抚过烈士陵园的青松翠柏，带着花香的书声在纪念碑前回荡。当同学们的手指轻轻抚过碑文，当清澈的目光久久凝视展柜中的遗物，我们仿佛看见红色的火种正在新一代心中点燃。历史带来的不是仇恨，而是我们对和平的珍惜。

那些用青春和生命铸就的丰碑，那些用热血和信仰书写的诗篇，都在诉说着一个永恒的真理：英雄从未远去，精神永远传承。让我们以青春之名，在新时代的长征路上，继续书写属于这一代人的光荣与梦想。

Remembering the Martyrs and Inheriting Their Legacy: Passing on the Red Gene from Generation to Generation

——HBBSS Holds Qingming Festival Memorial Education Activities

To promote the spirit of patriotism and pass on the "red gene," HBBSS organized a Qingming Festival-themed educational activity for students in grades six through eight in 2025. Through activities such as on-site memorial ceremonies, visits to memorial halls, and creating commemorative posters, the students paid deep tribute to the revolutionary martyrs and drew inspiration for their own progress.

Sixth-grade students focused on visiting various memorial halls. At Jiading Martyrs' Cemetery, Yao Minxue from Class 6-5 listened to stories of the battles that the soldiers had endured. She wrote: "The soldiers sacrificed their lives in these battles, and every name represents the foundation of the peace and stability we enjoy today." Some soldiers left behind their names, while others remained anonymous—a fact that deeply moved Yao Minxue. Tears welled up in her eyes as she gazed at the unnamed tombstones, and she solemnly laid flowers in their honor.

Meanwhile, at the Jinshanwei Anti-Japanese War Memorial Site, Zhang Haodi from Class 6-4 had a different experience. In 1937, Japanese forces landed in Jinshan, and the local defenders fought back fiercely, with only 28 surviving the brutal battle. The tragic struggle led Zhang Haodi to reflect: "We must cherish the present and share this history with more people."

Similar stories unfolded among the seventh graders. Yang Yuchen from Class 7-3 visited Minhang Martyrs' Cemetery, where towering pines and cypresses created a solemn atmosphere. As she explored the exhibition halls and viewed historical photographs, she felt as though she were witnessing the martyrs' fearless sacrifices. She wrote: "This activity made me truly understand how hard-won our happy lives are."

Pan Zhe'an from Class 7-5 visited the Sihang Warehouse Memorial. Upon approaching the site, his eyes were immediately drawn to the bullet-riddled walls, remnants of an extremely fierce battle. The final letter of General Xie Jinyuan—"To fight for the nation is the duty of a revolutionary soldier"—was especially heart-wrenching. "Hardship and perseverance refine us, and today's peace must be cherished all the more."

Eighth-grade students also visited various war memorials and cemeteries. Mia from Class 8-1 went to the Qihaoqiao Blockhouse, where anti-Japanese forces once battled enemy troops during the war. Later, during the Liberation War, the People's Liberation Army clashed with the Kuomintang here while advancing toward Shanghai. Standing at the site, Mia felt as though she could still sense the remnants of that bloody struggle. On her poster, she wrote: "The martyrs built not just fortifications with their lives, but peace itself."

Liu Youchang from Class 8-2 paid respects at the May Thirtieth Martyrs' Cemetery, learning about the past and gaining a profound appreciation for the sacrifices made by the martyrs for national independence. After laying flowers, Liu vowed to devote himself to study and practice, fulfilling the mission of their era.

The gentle breeze of Qingming brushed over the verdant pines and cypresses in the martyrs' cemeteries, while the sound of students reciting poetry carried the fragrance of flowers before the monuments. As their fingers traced the engraved names and their clear eyes lingered on the relics in the display cases, it seemed as though the spark of the "red spirit" was being kindled in a new generation. History teaches not hatred, but a deeper appreciation for peace.

The monuments forged with youth and life, the poems written with blood and faith—all speak an eternal truth: heroes never fade away, and their spirit lives on. Let us, in the name of youth, continue to write the glory and dreams of our generation on the new Long March of our era.
