在迎接五四青年节的日子里，八年级的同学们聚集在一起庆祝这仅有的一次 14岁生日会，感受着青春的美好和热情。

配合着有节奏感的鼓点，大屏幕上闪出各班同学儿时的照片集锦作为开场。这些精彩的瞬间和儿时的细节让每个人都激动了起来，纷纷感叹小时候的自己和如今的巨大变化。

八年级同学们为生日会精心准备了一系列精彩的表演： 8-3班邹子萱同学古筝独奏《孔雀东南飞》让人不禁感叹中国传统文化的魅力；8-1班和8-2班的五位女生带来的《Anti-fragile》散发出的满满自信和活力也感染了许多人；8-2、8-3和8-4班乐队演出演唱的《海阔天空》展示了青春热血澎湃的力量和对未来的不屈信念。最后，由学生会和大队委组成的十三位同学带来了振奋人心的诗朗诵表演，寄托了同学们对青春的思考感悟和对生活的真诚期盼。

说了这么多，同学们有没有思考过，为什么是 “14岁”呢？ 8-2班Lucy同学探讨了14岁这个关键性时间点的意义，我们逐渐走向成熟，对自己负责。除此之外，8-4班Noah爸爸也作为家长代表送给了学生们14岁寄语。

年级三十多位同学发表了《我不想成为这样的人》主题演讲，代表了我们对人生方向和目标的探索找寻。视频最后还包含了班主任和各学科老师的祝福期望以及对学生们的关爱支持，预祝八年级同学们能在接下来的学习生活中披荆斩棘、乘风破浪、不负韶华。

班长们唱完生日歌后，接下来的环节中家长们将准备已久的惊喜小礼物和家书交给同学们，十四年来的千言万语汇聚成几张纸上的一句句温暖如春的叮嘱寄托，有一个个瞬间的欢乐，有对未来道路的不舍，有幸福流露的感动，还有对同学们健康快乐学习的希望。

后面的时间师生家长在操场中央度过，同学们拿着生日礼物在横幅上签名，轮流放出蕴含美好祝愿的气球，各个班级拍下集体照记录这令人留恋的时刻，所有人一起分享着这份喜悦和快乐，送出了彼此之间最真诚的祝福和关爱。

——The 14th Birthday Party of The Eighth Grade

In the days near China’s Youth Day, the eighth grade students gathered together to celebrate their 14th birthday party, expressing their unique beauty and enthusiasm of youth.

With the rhythmic drumbeats, a photo collection of infancy of students in each class flashed by on the big screen as the opening. These wonderful moments and childhood details made everyone excited, lamenting the great changes within themselves through the 14 years.

The students also prepared several excellent performances for the birthday party with a lot of efforts and passion: Aurora Zou from class 8-3 played the guzheng solo "Peacock Flying Southeast", making everyone in the auditorium marvel at the charm of traditional Chinese culture; 5 girls from 8-1 and 8-2 presented "Anti-fragile" and showed the full confidence and vitality and determination to be “anti-fragile”; "Broad Sea and Sky" performed by the band formed by students from class two, three, and four showed the surging power of youth and unyielding belief in the future. Lat but not least, thirteen students composed of the student union recited their own poems, entrusting the students' thoughts on youth and sincere expectations for life.

The concept “14 years old” was repeated for a lot of times by teachers and parents, but why it is "14 years old" that needs to be celebrated so grandly? Lucy from class 8-2 discussed the significance of the critical changing point of 14 years old. We are gradually becoming maturer and more responsible for ourselves. In addition, Noah's father in Class 8-4 also gave the students a 14-year-old message as a parent representative.

More than 30 students in the grade delivered the speech "I Don't Want to Be a Person Like This", which represented our exploration and search for the direction and goal of life. At the end of the video, the blessings and expectations of the head teacher and teachers of various subjects, as well as the care and support for the students, are included. They all wish the eighth grade students can overcome obstacles, sail the ship of determination and courage through the wind and waves of puberty and exploration, Saddle up and pursue their dreams in their future study and life.

After the class monitors sang the birthday song as the following session, the parents handed over the birthday surprises and family letters to the students. Thousands of words from the past 14 years were gathered into a few warm sentences on a few pieces of paper. There are moments of joy, reluctance for the future path, and hope for students to study healthily and happily in these repeated words.

Teachers, students, and parents spent the rest of the time in the middle of the playground. Students signed the banners and took turns to release balloons with wishes. Each class took a photo to record this memorable moment. With this joy and happiness, we sent the most sincere blessings and love to each other.
