五月底，上海金山杭州湾双语学校五年级在大礼堂举行了 Spelling Bee 决赛，这项比赛非常考验选手们的英语词汇量、拼词能力和心理素质！

通过 Spelling Bee 初赛的选手有序登场并按序号就位，六位外教评委严阵以待，主持人宣读了比赛规则，于是比赛正式开始。第一位选手被第二位选手淘汰后，第三位选手 “ 不幸 ” 遇到了一个非常挑战的单词。很快，第三位选手及后面的选手都去了 “standby” ，急切地等待着复赛的机会。

在一番激烈角逐后，五一班 Rosie 和五二班 Jeffrey 将决出第一名和第二名。比赛进入了白热化，单词难度逐渐增加，一个词接着一个词，两名选手你来我往，在一次次较量中透露出不服输的决心。经过一番激烈的比拼 , Rosie 获得了第一名， Jeffrey 获得了第二名。决出前两名后，评委们让 standby 区域所有选手返回比赛，决出第三名。比赛再次进入了白热化阶段，原本退出赛场的选手们再次燃起斗志。此刻，比比赛成绩更重要的，是那份证明自己的决心。随着一番角逐，最终五三班 Yolanda 成为了第三名！当成绩被公布时，大礼堂里响起了热烈的掌声，这掌声送给获胜者，同样也在向所有参赛的选手致敬！

Spelling Bee  大赛虽然是一个拼写比赛，但也是一个彰显学生信心、证明自身实力的赛场。在这个比赛中，敢于挑战自己的同学们都是赢家，他们让自己的青春于此刻熠熠闪光，用自己的决心为本次比赛画下了完美的句号！

At the end of May, the Spelling Bee Contest for fifth graders of Hangzhou Bay Bilingual School was held in the auditorium. During this competition, judges tested contestants for their English vocabulary, spelling ability, and psychological quality!

The contestants who passed the first round of the Spelling Bee came up to the stage according to the serial number. The six foreign teacher judges were seated at the sideline and couldn't wait for the start. After the host announced the contest's rules, the final officially began. After the second player defeated the first contestant, the third contestant, "unfortunately," encountered a very challenging word. Shortly, the third contestant and all the players after he all went to "standby," eagerly waiting for the opportunity to rematch.

After rounds of fierce competition, Rosie and Jeffrey were the last two players to determine the first and second places. The match reached a climax, as the vocabulary difficulty gradually increased word after word. The two players came and went, revealing their determination to win the contest during one battle after another. Through an impressive "battle," Rosie won first place, and Jeffrey took second. After deciding the top two locations, the judges asked all the contestants in the standby area to return to the stage to determine the third place. The competition again entered an anxious stage; all the players who had previously withdrawn from it once again ignited their fighting spirit. At that moment, what is more, important than the results is the determination to prove yourself. With rounds of competition, the contestants were eliminated one by one, and finally, Yolanda, from class three, came third place! When the results were announced, the auditorium burst into applause.

Although the Spelling Bee contest is a spelling competition, it is also a field to demonstrate students' confidence and prove their strength. The students who dare to challenge themselves are the winners of this competition. They let their youth shine at this moment and draw a perfect end to this competition with their determination.
