改变,就在每一个此时此刻——记杭校初中部Make A Difference活动

过了立夏,杭校里里外外一天比一天热起来。而那枚悬在教室里的挂钟,却始终不紧不慢地数着时间,不早一分,也绝不晚一秒。每当路过它,有些学生总下意识地抬头望望。九年级越发有些时不我待的紧迫感,那时针却显得特别沉得住气,用一种几乎不容觉察的速度微微挪动着,走出老远,一回头,见它似乎还在原来的地方,却不知此时此刻它正 “进行着一种改变”,正在悄悄地和学生们一起, make a difference

 

夕阳斜斜地透过窗户,从某个角度给挂钟染上一层淡金色的光晕。薄暮时分的杭校操场,两个活跃的身影在砖红的跑道上留下一对扎实的影子,那是 9-4 班张铭喆同学和李嘉麒老师的“每日体育锻炼的约定”:属于他们的 make a difference 。他们移动得越来越轻松,渐渐吸引了同学们从窗口投出的目光。他俩就像钟面上那坚定的时针,一圈又一圈,一天又一天,分不清是晚霞染红了他们的笑脸,还是地面映红了杭校的天色,每天和他们一样打卡的同学们蓦然发现,这热腾腾的气象确是创造了一些不同呢。

 

斜阳越发偏西了,一轮弯钩似的月牙儿隐现在天边。此景之间, 9-4 班张瑞琪同学的 make a difference 是与家人共读诗集,分享对诗歌的感悟与心得。或许这让她对时间产生了一种奇妙的感觉,就在天边“升明月”之际,就在这充满美和想象的节奏与韵律中,与诗人隔着时间和空间相逢。和她一样,九年级的其他同学们也齐刷刷地在 make a difference 打着卡,像是你追我赶,煞是热闹;又像我们每个人在和自己赛跑,一圈圈地赶超着上一秒的自己,让这改变悄无声息又切切实实地发生。

 

四个星期的时间就是一转眼,初中各年级的同学们不知不觉又完成了本学期的 make a difference 活动。杭校依旧巍然,见证着日升日落,教室里的挂钟也还在笃定地积跬步而致千里。突然回望,同学们竟在每一个微小的瞬间让自己变得更优秀、更卓越。陪着学生们完成每一次 make a difference 的老师和父母,也同样见证了他们这四年每一个大大小小的改变与进步。时钟不语,同学们忽然明白了这些年每次参加 make a difference 的意义。改变,就在每一个看似微不足道的此时此刻,而每一轮打卡中的刻意练习,就像是时间长城的一个个烽火台,照亮了从前往后的人生。

收拾书本,学生们结束了晚自习,三三两两地离开教室,嬉笑着与挂钟告别。这时,落日已完全没入暮色,远处点点星光缀满了深蓝色的天幕,其中有一串星星特别亮,宽宽地汇成了一束,亮灿灿地向无限的远方蜿蜒而去。这束光照在他们的眼里,也照在同学们的心里,亮晶晶的……

 


 

After Start of Summer, the campus of HBBSS has become hotter and hotter. Whenever the students pass by the clock hung on the wall, they look up it subconsciously.Ninth graders are starting to feel a sense of urgency. At the same time, the needle on the clock seems to be in no hurry, moving at an almost imperceptible speed. Looking back after a long time, the hand appears to be in its original place. However, no one knows that it is undergoing a “change,” which signals the start of the “making a difference” activity.

 

The setting sun slanted through the window, dyeing the wall with a golden halo from a certain angle. At dawn, two silhouettes can be seen on the HBBSS running tracks; they are Leo from class 9-4 and Mr. Jackie who completed their goal for the “make a difference” activity. They are like the firm hour hand on the clock, round after round, day after day. It is not clear whether the sky dyed their faces red or the reflection of the ground made the sky red. Students who work hard for their “make a difference” also suddenly realized that a small change made a huge difference.

 

The sun began to set westwards, and the moon appeared in the vast sky. At this moment, Rachel from class 9-4 was completing her “make a difference” goal with her family: to read poetry selections and share their thoughts and feelings afterwards. Perhaps the rhythm of the poetry and the beautiful sight of the moon had made her experience an unusual feeling towards time, allowing her to meet the poets across time and space. Just like Rachel, other students in ninth grade are competing for their goals as well. Every student is working hard to become better, making a difference silently.

 

Four weeks pass in the blink of an eye, and the students in the middle school have already completed their “make a difference” this semester. Looking back at themselves, the students all took one step further towards excellence. Parents and teachers who have accompanied students to complete all witness students’ changes and improvements for the past four years. Change occurs in every insignificant moment, and the persistent effort that students have put in is like a beam of light, illuminating their way to the future.

 

Students started collecting their books as the bell rang, saying goodbye to the clock as they left the classroom, full of smiles and laughter. By this time, the sun retreated below the horizon while scatters of starlight covered the night sky. One row is exceptionally bright among the stars in the sky, giving out a beam of light that shines toward the distance into infinity. The beam of light did not only light up their eyes but also the hearts of every student.
