经历了短暂但丰富的寒假后，上海金山杭州湾双语学校于2月如期开学。各位同学们依次返校，校园里再次充满欢声笑语。大家以饱满的热情迎来了新学期。

2月 18 日下午，开学典礼正式开始。金慕华校长、袁尚伟副校长、陈醉雨主任出席开学典礼，在各年级同学们纷纷落座后，李晶主任上台主持，拉开了开学典礼的帷幕，同学们报以热烈掌声。

随后，各年级的学生代表们上台发言。五年级的张庭语同学分享了自己的寒假生活，他在假期中保持运动习惯，参加了各类体能训练，和家人度过了温馨的新年假期。

六年级的王齐涵同学在寒假生活中追梦前行，为梦想努力学习，这份热情同样感染了其他同学。

七年级的司蔓妮同学在寒假生活中参加赛艇训练，探索自己的兴趣领域，在日常生活中充分绽放个性。

八年级的陈可航同学则介绍了自己在寒假中的学习安排和拓展活动，认为人应保持纯朴的个性，恪守初心才能走得长远。

九年级的肖然泽在假期中发展潜能，在寒假中坚持爱好的同时不忘学业，进一步学习初高中衔接的内容，提升学力。

Julia Wanley和 William Franks 作为外教代表表达了自己对于学生学习的肯定，同时勉励同学们在新学期继续提升学习能力，迎接新的挑战。

贺老师建议高年级同学利用一次次课堂内外的学习修炼，参加各种社会实践的活动，让人生更有目标。李老师则充分肯定了每位同学的努力和才华，并希望每位同学都能在杭州湾双语学校大放异彩。

最后，同学们迎来了激动人心的十星评选。当获奖同学的名字出现在大屏幕时，同学们总会以热烈的掌声庆贺。

新的一年，我们也迎来了新的开始，正如每位老师期许的那样，我们每位同学都将在杭校绽放自己独有的才华，迎接更好的未来。

After a short but fulfilling winter holiday, a new semester started at HBBSS in February as scheduled. Students returned to school in order and the campus was once again filled with laughter. Everyone welcomed the new semester with enthusiasm.

The welcoming ceremony began on the afternoon of Feburary 18.

Headmistress Jin Muhua, Vice Principal Yuan Shangwei, and Director Chen Zuiyu attended the ceremony, and Director Li Jing was the host. Students took their seat and welcomed the ceremony with a round of applause.

Student representatives from each grade then took the stage to give their speech. Zhang Tingyu from Grade 5 shared with peers his holiday life in which he kept exercising, took part in various kinds of physical training, and spent a warm New Year holiday with his family.

Wang Qihan from Grade 6 studied hard for his dream during this winter. His enthusiasm impressed other students.

Si Manni from Grade 7 talked about her rowing training and daily life in the vacation.

Chen Kehang, a Grade 8 student, shared his holiday schedule for study and other activities. He believed that to succeed, one should stay pure and simple and remain true to his original aspiration.

Xiao Ranze from Grade 9 tapped more of his potential and prepared himself for high school life during the holidays, developing his hobbies while enhancing his academic ability.

Teacher representatives also expressed their best wishes for the students.

Julia Wanley and William Franks, as representatives of the expatriate teachers, recognized the students' performance and encouraged them to continue to improve their academic ability and rise up to new challenges in the new semester.

On the other hand, Chinese teachers He Haizhen and Li Jiaqi also gave their advice. Ms. He advised the senior students to learn and practice inside and outside the classroom, and to participate in various social practice activities to make life more fulfilling. Mr Li then praised the efforts and talents of each student and hoped that they could shine at HBBSS.

And finally, here was the awarding ceremony of semester stars. Whenever the names of the winning students appeared on the screen, thunderous applause would resound the auditorium.

The new year also means a new beginning, and as every teacher expects, every one of our students will blossom in their bright future.
