秋风轻拂，新学期的钟声已经敲响。在这个充满希望与挑战的新起点，上海金山杭州湾双语学校于今日举行了2024学年第一学期的开学典礼。新学期，新起点，新梦想，全校师生带着对知识的热忱、对未来的憧憬，齐聚一堂，共同开启一段崭新的学习与成长之旅。

庄严的国歌奏响了开学典礼的序章。

国歌之后，已经毕业的学长学姐们从世界各地传回了消息，一段由杭校第一届毕业生发回的视频带我们走进了他们的大学校园，我们从中看到了他们取得的优异成绩和惊人成长，也看到了我们未来精彩的模样。

金校长首先上台发言，对新的学年、新的学期做了展望。金校长的发言字字诚挚热情，句句饱含期许，她鼓励孩子们在新的起点上发奋，她期待学生们探索自己的兴趣爱好，她祝福孩子们在新的一年里可以像孙颖莎一样，通过自己的努力、通过异于常人的付出实现个人的追求和品质的展现，从而真正成为独一无二的人。

紧接着五年级的发言金诗芸同学上台分享了她的假期生活，我们从她获得的铺满屏幕的奖项中得以窥见，她充实的暑假生活一定也为她的学术生涯铺开了道路。她和同学们分享了我们许多学习的方法和技巧，希望新五年级的同学们可以共同进步，一起成长。

六年级的Jessica同学为我们分享了她暑假期间的丰富生活。啦啦操队的经历、电视台的学习实践、音乐剧的排练展演，这些课外活动成为了她六年级生活的精彩起点。同时她在学科的学习中也积极提高，查漏补缺不断练习和巩固。这样的她让我们看到了六年级学生的风采。

七年级的同学的精彩暑假在一段动感的视频中得以展现。无论是物理化学等学科竞赛，还是艺术运动等兴趣活动，他们都让我们看到了七年级学生在课外活动中取得的傲人成绩。社会活动中和公益实践中也少不了他们的身影，支教、研学，他们将所学的知识传递给更多需要的人。

八年级一班的Henry同学的暑假生活同样富有意义。在辩论的学习与实践中，他提高了自己的沟通、合作和说服能力，在辩论比赛中取得了优异的成绩。他认为热情、坚持和努力，是通往成功的不二阶梯，什么都无法阻挡梦想的脚步。

九年级的周是知Gracie同学以一句“芳华待灼，砥砺深耕”开始了她的分享。升到九年级的她在毕业的压力下没有丝毫退缩，在暑假期间她积极进取，在学术方面深耕细作，在活动方面都砥砺前行。相信毕业班的同学们在杭校的最后一年中一定能顶住压力，不断前行。

最后，金校长、袁校长、陈主任为五到九年级的同学们颁发了奖学金证书，我们一同见证了同学们的进步和成长。

 随着开学典礼的圆满结束，上海金山杭州湾学校的新学期也正式拉开了帷幕。全校师生怀揣着对未来的无限憧憬和满腔热情，踏上了新的求知之旅。他们将以更加饱满的精神状态，投入到新学期的学习和生活中，共同书写属于杭校的辉煌篇章。

在这个充满机遇与挑战的新学期里，我们相信，杭校的每一位师生都将以更加坚定的步伐，勇往直前，不断追求卓越。他们将用汗水和智慧，浇灌出属于自己的梦想之花，让青春在奋斗中绽放光彩。

The autumn breeze is blowing, and the bell of the new semester has been ringing. HBBSS held the school opening day of the 2024-2025 Academic Year, Semester 1, full of hope and challenges. With a new semester, a new starting point, and a new dream, all the teachers and students gathered together with enthusiasm for knowledge and a vision for the future to start a new journey of learning and growth.

The solemn national anthem kicked off the opening ceremony.

After the national anthem, the seniors who have graduated from all over the world sent back their news, and a video sent back by the first batch of graduates of HBBSS took us to their college campus, from which we saw their excellent results and fantastic growth, and also foresaw our wonderful future.

Principal Jin first took the stage to give the welcome speech and outlook for the new academic year and semester. She encouraged the students to work hard and looked forward to them exploring their interests and hobbies. She wished all students to be like Sun Ying Sha in the new year, through their extraordinary efforts to achieve personal pursuit and quality display, to become unique people truly.

Jin Shi Yun from Grade 5 took the stage to share her holiday life. The awards she has won show that her fulfilling summer life must have also paved the way for her academic career. She shared many of our learning methods and skills with the students, hoping the new Grade 5 students could progress and grow together.

Grade 6 student Jessica shared her enriching life during the summer holidays with us. The cheerleading team experience, the learning practice of the TV station, and the rehearsal and performance of the musical became wonderful starting points for her Grade 6 life. At the same time, she also actively improves in the study of the subject, checking and filling in the gaps and constantly practicing and consolidating. She gave us a glimpse of the sixth graders.

An action-packed video showed the 7th graders' summer vacation. Whether it is subject competitions such as physics and chemistry or interest activities such as art sports, they all let us see the proud achievements of Grade 7 students in extracurricular activities. They are also indispensable in social activities and public welfare practices, teaching and researching, and passing on the knowledge they have learned to more people in need.

Henry, a Grade 8 student, had an equally meaningful summer vacation. In the study and practice of debate, he improved his communication, cooperation, and persuasion skills and achieved excellent results in the debate competition. He believes that enthusiasm, perseverance, and hard work are the only ladders to success, and nothing can stop the pace of dreams.

Gracie, a Grade 9 student, began sharing, "Youth is waiting to be sharpened, to go through a long period of tempering and precipitation." Rising to the ninth grade, she did not flinch from the pressure of graduating, and during the summer, she was motivated, working hard in her academics and activities. The graduating students will be able to withstand the pressure and continue to move forward in the last year of HBBSS.

Finally, Principal Jin, Principal Yuan, and Director Chen presented scholarship certificates to the students from Grade 5 to 9, and we witnessed the students' progress and growth together.

With the successful conclusion of the opening day, the new semester of HBBSS has officially kicked off. With infinite hope and enthusiasm for the future, the teachers and students of the school embarked on a new journey of knowledge. They will devote themselves to the study and life of the new semester with a fuller mental state and jointly write a glorious chapter belonging to HBBSS.

In this new semester full of opportunities and challenges, every teacher and student of HBBSS will move forward bravely and continue to pursue excellence at a firmer pace. They will use sweat and wisdom to water the flowers of their dreams so that youth can bloom in the struggle.
