大手拉小手,书香润童心

 

当一年级的萌娃遇上三年级的 “小老师”,当绘本故事碰上经典名著,会碰撞出怎样的火花?3月18日下午,上海金山杭州湾双语学校举办了一场别开生面的“同伴阅读”活动,让我们一起感受这场充满童趣与智慧的阅读盛宴吧!

 

为了让不同年级的学生充分互动,学校特别设计了一三年级配对、二四年级配对的环节。每个班级的一半同学会前往配对的另一个年级教室,与那里的同学两两结对,成为彼此的 “阅读伙伴”。这种特别的安排,不仅打破了年级的界限,也让孩子们在新鲜的环境中,以全新的身份投入到阅读分享中。

一二年级的小朋友用充满童趣的语言分享着自己心爱的绘本。起初,面对陌生的高年级哥哥姐姐们,他们有些羞涩,声音也略显怯懦。但在高年级同学的鼓励和引导下,他们逐渐放松下来,有的孩子甚至手舞足蹈地模仿着书中的角色。这些充满想象力的绘本,不仅让孩子们在阅读中收获快乐,更在潜移默化中培养了他们的语言表达能力和审美情趣。

接下来,轮到高年级的同学们大显身手了。相较于低年级的童趣绘本,三四年级的哥哥姐姐们则带来了《夏洛的网》、《窗边的小豆豆》等经典作品。他们用流畅的语言、生动的讲述,带领着弟弟妹妹们走进文学的殿堂,感受文字的力量和思想的深度。低年级的同学们则全神贯注地聆听着,沉浸在经典作品的魅力之中。

 

这种 “大手拉小手”的阅读方式,不仅让低年级的孩子们在阅读中获得了帮助和指导,更让高年级的同学们在分享和讲解中加深了对书籍的理解,体会到了帮助他人的快乐。

 

活动结束后,孩子们纷纷表达了自己的感受。低年级的学生们表示,通过和高年级的哥哥姐姐们一起阅读,他们不仅学到了新的知识,还感受到了阅读的乐趣。而高年级的学生们则发现,给低年级的弟弟妹妹们讲解书籍,不仅锻炼了自己的表达能力,也让自己对书籍有了更深的理解。

这场跨年级的阅读活动,不仅是一次书籍的分享,更是一次成长的见证。它让我们看到,阅读可以跨越年龄的界限,连接起不同阶段的孩子,让他们在书香中共同成长,在分享中收获快乐。

When first-grade youngsters meet third-grade "little teachers," and when picture books encounter classic literature, what kind of sparks will fly? On the afternoon of March 18th, Shanghai Jinshan Hangzhou Bay Bilingual School hosted a unique "Partner Reading" event. Let's immerse ourselves in this reading feast full of childlike fun and wisdom!

 

To encourage interaction between students of different grades, the school specially designed a pairing system: first graders with third graders, and second graders with fourth graders. Half of the students from each class would visit the paired grade's classroom, where they would pair up with students from that grade and become each other's "reading buddies." This special arrangement not only broke down the barriers between grades but also allowed the children to engage in reading and sharing in a fresh environment with new identities.

 

The first and second graders shared their beloved picture books in a language full of childlike charm. At first, facing the unfamiliar older students, they were a bit shy, and their voices were timid. However, with the encouragement and guidance of the older students, they gradually relaxed, and some even began to mimic the characters in the books with animated gestures. These imaginative picture books not only brought joy to the children during reading but also subtly nurtured their language expression skills and aesthetic sensibilities.

 

Next, it was the older students' turn to shine. Compared to the younger children's picture books, the third and fourth graders brought classic works such as *Charlotte's Web* and *Totto-chan: The Little Girl at the Window*. With fluent language and vivid storytelling, they led their younger peers into the hall of literature, allowing them to experience the power of words and the depth of thought. The younger students listened attentively, completely immersed in the charm of these classic works.

 

This "big hand holding small hand" reading approach not only provided the younger children with help and guidance in reading but also allowed the older students to deepen their understanding of the books through sharing and explaining, while experiencing the joy of helping others.

 

After the event, the children shared their thoughts. The younger students expressed that reading with their older peers not only taught them new knowledge but also allowed them to experience the joy of reading. Meanwhile, the older students found that explaining books to their younger counterparts not only improved their communication skills but also gave them a deeper understanding of the books themselves.

 

This cross-grade reading event was not just a sharing of books but also a testament to growth. It showed us that reading can transcend age barriers, connecting children at different stages of development, allowing them to grow together through the world of books and find joy in sharing.
