At 10 am on April 2, 2025, the annual music event - HBBSS New Year Piano Concert was held as scheduled. In the simple and vibrant arts center, young musicians shine in concerts. The vibration of the piano and the warm spring breeze form a harmony across time and space.

Iris Lai from class G6-4 opened the concert with a performance of Schubert - Impromptu Op.90 No.3. Hailed as a "flowing pearl," the work takes on a silky texture under her delicate touches, with the left hand undulating in undulating chords like streams in the night mist, and the aria holding the right hand undulating in alternating chords of light and shade.

Next on the stage was Amy Li from class G6-4. Drooping eyes gently stroke the keys, Chopin's "Nocturne in C Sharp minor" sigh like the moonlight dripping. With her silky touch she smudges the amber glow of the nocturne.

Julie Lu of class G6-4 tapped the keys with her fingertips, and the light of Mendelssohn - Songs Without Words, Op.19b No.6 flooded the concert hall in an instant. Triplets cut through the morning mist like a gondola, melodic lines surfacing at the touch of a key.

With a change of style, Joyce Li from Class G6-5 brought a song titled "il porco rosso" by Hisaishi. The steampunk touch forged Adriatic propeller rhythms into a precise sound chain, the left hand pushed octaves into the riveted wing skeleton, and the right hand melodic lines shook copper pipe colors through the clouds.

Bati Liang of G7-1 class brought Ravel - Jeux d'eau M.30, which burst out the stars of the Seine River. When the side of the palm blows the waterfall droplets, the pouring note torrent condenses into suspended water droplets in the high notes, bringing another climax to the concert.

Peter Ruan, from Class G8-2, played Liszt - La Campanella. Rapid fingering is like striking a silver bell, the left hand jumps in the low register to play a horseshoe rhythm, the right hand high melody as clear as a church bell. When playing a continuous octave, the body rises and falls with the notes, and the wrist makes a flexible pendulum-like arc.

Jonny Jiang from Class G8-3 played Sibelius - Caprice's Rhapsody Op.24 No.3. The bass is as deep as the waves crashing on the rocks, and the melody is as gentle as the northern lights, and as intense as a forest storm. At the climax of the performance, the body rises and falls with arpeggios like driving a bumpy snowfield carriage, and finally ends with a sonorous chord, like the orange lights of a wooden house in the dusk, and the cool smell of a Nordic pine forest echoes in the aftertaste.

Terry Xiao of Class G8-3 performed Weber - Aufforderung zum Tanze Op.65. The bass of the left hand was like a gentleman bowing to send out an invitation, and the treble of the right hand was like a lady gently lifting her skirt in response. As the rhythm of the waltz crested, his wrist turned gently, the notes flowing like rotating crystal lamps, and his body tilted slightly in triple time, as if he were sliding a waltz arc across the keys with his partner.

Elizabeth Lu from Class G8-3 brought Zhang Chao's adaptation of "In that Faraway Place". Fingertips gently knead the keys to bring out the grassland long melody of the vast, the melody is like the wind across the tent whimper, and now into a girl's robe swinging silver bells. When the wrist rises and falls, the notes are like fire sparks in the air and float away, and the body shakes with the chord like seeing the horizon.

Oscar Geng from class G9-3 brought Chopin - Nocturne Op.62 No.1. The melody turns into ripples on the surface of the lake, and then condenses into the dew that will fall on the branches. The fingertips swim like fireflies as they slide across the keys, and the wrists turn with a sighing grace note.

Finally, Monica Gao from class G9-4 brought Rachmaninoff's "Prelude in c Sharp Minor", which shattered the night like a church bell, the melody was like a chain on the ice, and the metallic roar of the fingertips when they hit the keys. The climax of the arm like Thor's hammer, stirring up a silver lightning, for the concert to draw a perfect end.

After a musical feast, the audience felt as if they are in the palace of art, and their hearts and emotions were refreshed and sublimated. The concert not only made people appreciate the beauty of musical notes, but also infused the charm of art into their hearts.
