8月 31 日下午，上海金山杭州湾双语学校初中部隆重举行了 2025 学年第一学期开学典礼。典礼由金主任主持，金校长、袁校长等校领导与全体初中师生共同出席。

活动在庄严的国歌声中正式开始，全场师生肃立齐唱，洋溢着对祖国的热爱与新学期的期待。随后，金主任以热情洋溢的开场白正式拉开了典礼的帷幕。

学生代表发言环节，各年级的同学依次上台分享。来自六年级的新生代表Erin、 Ivy 、 Freya 同学表达了自己激动的心情，真正成为一名初中生。随后她们从心理上的准备；学习语言上的准备；包括在学业上和个性化发展的准备做了详细介绍。可以说，作为一名初中新生，她们在各方面都做好了积极的准备。最后，她们表示将珍惜在杭校的学习机会，努力迎接新挑战。七年级的 Charlotte 、 Jasmine 、 Ronnie 同学则分享了 U20 青年之声比赛全过程，他们从比赛规则、准备过程、团队合作和个人成长等方面回顾了比赛。九年级的 Gloria 、 Ashley 、 Albert 同学分享了参加 CTB 演讲比赛的经历。他们从懵懂的状态走进 CTB 到经历两次失败到努力排练重新崛起的起起落落。今年三月，他们的努力得到了回报。他们在全国比赛中闯入全国前 5% ，赢得了在哈佛大学举行的全球总决赛的直接门票。应该说在世界舞台上他们做到了，他们绽放了杭校学子的耀眼光芒。

外教团队的代表Mr .Brooke为同学们送上新学期寄语，鼓励大家以开放、积极的心态面对挑战，并以幽默的语言介绍了学校领导及外教团队成员，博得全场热烈的掌声。他还分享了刚毕业的九年级取得的好成绩，还告诉我们他们取得佳绩的秘籍。

金校长在随后的致辞中，首先热烈欢迎师生重回校园，用高昂的状态迎接新学期的到来；然后金校长充分肯定了过去一学年同学们在学业与综合活动中的优异表现；最后她勉励学生勇于探索，保持对未知世界的好奇心，带着过往的荣耀与未来的憧憬，以更加昂扬的姿态，携手共创新学期的辉煌。

典礼的高潮是各奖项的颁发环节。在热烈的掌声中， “ 学业进步奖 ”“ 文明礼仪奖 ” 等荣誉获得者依次上台领奖，展现了杭州湾学子全面发展的优秀风貌。

开学典礼在温馨而激昂的氛围中圆满结束，为新学期拉开了精彩的序幕。全体师生将以崭新的面貌，共同迎接未来的挑战与成长。

On the afternoon of August 31, the middle school division of Shanghai Jinshan Hangzhou Bay Bilingual School held a grand opening ceremony for the first semester of the 2025 academic year. The ceremony was presided over by Director Jin, with Principal Jin, Principal Yuan, and other school leaders attending alongside all middle school teachers and students.

The event commenced solemnly with the national anthem, as all teachers and students stood in unison, singing with passion for the country and their anticipation for the new semester. Following this, Director Jin warmly welcomed everyone and officially opened the ceremony.

During the student representative speeches, students from each grade took turns sharing their experiences. Sixth-grade newcomers Erin, Ivy, and Freya expressed their excitement about officially becoming middle school students. They shared how they had prepared themselves mentally, academically, and linguistically, as well as in terms of personal development. They concluded by emphasizing their commitment to cherishing the learning opportunities at Hangzhou Bay School and striving to embrace new challenges.

Seventh-grade students Charlotte, Jasmine, and Ronnie recounted their experience in the U20 Youth Voice competition, reflecting on the rules, preparation process, teamwork, and personal growth throughout the event. Ninth graders Gloria, Ashley, and Albert shared their journey participating in the CTB speech competition. From their initial unfamiliarity with CTB to overcoming two setbacks and persevering through rehearsals, their hard work finally paid off this March. They ranked in the top 5% nationally, earning direct entry to the global finals held at Harvard University. Their achievements truly shone on the world stage, showcasing the brilliance of Hangzhou Bay students.

Mr. Brooke, representing the international faculty, offered encouraging words for the new semester. He motivated everyone to face challenges with an open and positive mindset and humorously introduced the school leadership and international teachers, earning warm applause from the audience. He also shared the outstanding achievements of the recently graduated ninth-grade class and revealed the efforts behind their success.

In Principal Jin’s address, she extended a warm welcome to all teachers and students returning to campus, encouraging everyone to embrace the new semester with high spirits. She highly praised the students’ outstanding performance in both academic and extracurricular activities over the past academic year. Finally, she encouraged students to courageously explore, maintain curiosity about the unknown, and move forward with past glories and future aspirations to collectively achieve new heights in the coming semester.

The ceremony reached its climax during the awards segment. Winners of the "Academic Progress Award" and "Courtesy and Etiquette Award" took the stage, demonstrating the well-rounded excellence of Hangzhou Bay students.

The opening ceremony concluded on a warm and inspiring note, marking a magnificent start to the new semester. All teachers and students are ready to face future challenges and growth with renewed energy and determination.
